In 2012 following a 2 year wait we finally collected the Labrador bitch puppy that after much research we had set our hearts on as a suitable foundation bitch for our new line of Labs.
We had long coveted a puppy from Jeremy Hunt’s Fenway kennels and we are fortunate to have benefited from Jeremy’s wisdom , knowledge and experience to help us in our aim to improve wherever possible the health , looks and temperament of today’s Labradors.
Jeremy was not only the gundog expert at the Shooting Gazette but also the author of the wonderful book “Training the working Labrador “ which we strongly recommend to both prospective and serious experienced Labrador owners.

The Fenway line is a fine example of Labs that not only have wonderful calm temperaments but also “look like Labradors should do “ which is so important and seems to be forgotten about in many modern breeding programmes. After much research and consultation we decided on taking Halle ( Fenway Whimbrel) to stud at John & Sandra Halstead’s world famous Drakeshead kennels. Drakeshead Vince was the chosen male due to his stunning looks, confirmation and calm working temperament which matched Halle perfectly.
We have carried on breeding along these lines using carefully thought out plans closely connected to our core values and aims of good looking, hard working healthy dogs that lead long,happy working lives and are a pleasure to own.

Tara is a daughter from Halle’s last litter and she had her first litter in 2018 using “ Drakeshead Bosco” as the sire. They produced a fantastic litter and we plan to do a repeat mating this Autumn (2020 ) for which we already have a waiting list. By combining the Drakeshead line with the Fenway line we have produced a physically strong and very trainable line of Labradors with fantastic temperaments that we are very proud of.
